Kendal Unitarian Chapel

Heritage Open Day: Discover Kendal's oldest nonconformist chapel, built in 1720, with gardens including a unique Multi-faith Garden of Remembrance. Come and explore this fascinating chapel and gardens with our guides, who will be pleased to show you around. Learn about the history of the chapel, its unique heritage, and its place in the life and history of Kendal. The beautiful chapel gardens, including the Multi-faith Garden of Remembrance, are open to everyone and are a peaceful retreat in the town centre. The chapel's Victorian Schoolroom is undergoing repair and restoration - but you are welcome to see the work in progress.
