Heritage Open Day: Come and visit Gedling House a Grade II listed Georgian mansion, now a Buddhist meditation Centre. Enjoy our lovely building and grounds - we’ll have history talks, displays, meditation taster sessions, children's activities, refreshments and stalls Gedling House was built in 1790 as the home of Nottingham banker Thomas Smith. Over the next 230+ years it was home to many significant Nottingham families, the war office, the museum service, wedding venue, offices and today it is the home of Kadampa Meditation Centre Nottingham.
