St Peter and St Paul Parish Church, Kirton in Holland

Heritage Open Day: Come & explore one of Boston’s oldest churches: Spectacular grade 1 listed Church with interesting architectural features, including well-preserved Norman west doorway. Refreshments Kids' games area, Bell tower open on request, Guided tours on Sat. St Peter and St Pauls church in Kirton, is one of the finest churches in Lincolnshire, dating back to the 13th century, with some fine architecture. A church in Kirton appears in the Domesday book. No other remains of a church has been found, so we can assume that the present church was built on the ruins of the former. More evidence of an earlier building is seen in the beautifully preserved Norman arch that dresses the original west end.
