Celebration of International Day of Peace at the MK Rose

Heritage Open Day: A guided tour around the MK Rose pillars relating to peace to hear the stories behind them, together with a celebration of peace, ‘Flower of the Soul’ by Ukraine Appeal and the Sunflower School. Sunday 21 September is International Day of Peace, and the Milton Keynes Rose contains a number of pillar inscriptions relating to peace – Armistice Day, Holocaust Memorial Day. Albert French Day, etc. Visitors will be invited to visit these pillars and hear the stories behind them. The event will also include a celebration of unity, hope and peace ‘Flower of the Soul’ by Ukraine Appeal and the Sunflower School. Through graceful movements and artistic expression, children and women will illustrate the beauty of the human soul and remind us of the light that resides within.
