Visit the Alston Moor Historical Society archive
Heritage Open Day: Browse our book collection, snoop in the filing cabinets, admire the photos of ancestors peering down from the walls, learn more about the society and what it does behind the scenes. The Alston Moor Historical Society's archive will be open all day for visitors to access the records. Visitors can see the process from item acquisition through cataloguing to storage. Volunteers will be on hand to help show visitors how to use the online catalogue and access documents and artefacts held within the archive. Demonstrations of scanning and other archival equipment will also be available.
