Heritage Open Day: The Colour Makers House (rebuilt in 1677) is home to a traditional artist's colour shop, and alchemy workshops show how paint and pigments are traditionally made. The Colour Maker's House will be open both Saturday and Sunday for browsing, with historic paint making demonstrations on both days.
Put on specifically for Heritage Open Days Architecture theme, from 10-12 on Sunday morning, Mark will be doing a live drawing of Appleby’s buildings, starting at The Colour Makers House. It is hoped this will be taking place outdoors, weather dependant.
