Open Church Day

Heritage Open Day: Gainsborough United Reformed Church dates from 1897 with strong links to John Robinson, Pastor to the Mayflower Pilgrims with an exhibition room dedicated to the history of the Pilgrims. The magnificent Foster & Andrews organ has heritage status. This church is part of the Mayflower heritage trail around Gainsborough and the exhibition room has been professionally displayed and is used by
local schools, annually, as part of their history curriculum. There are period costumes for children to try on.
The organ is pituresque and much appreciated by visiting organists on these occasions.
There will be an art exhibition in the Sanctuary with work done by a local art group run from the church.
