St Denys Church, Eaton. Gravestone rubbing

Heritage Open Day: St Denys church contains a number of hidden memorials, and the churchyard a number of interesting gravestones.
This is an opportunity to see these revealed and to take a rubbing. St Denys is a Grade I listed church built of ironstone, originating in the Norman period.
Under the carpet beneath the altar of St Denys church are a range of memorials dating to previous centuries.
These will be revealed for viewing and rubbings to be taken.
The churchyard contains a number of 'Belvoir Angel' gravestones, these will be identified and again people can take a rubbing if they wish.
Materials supplied.
Refreshments available.
All ages welcome, and dogs can come too.
(Please note no toilet).
