Kendal South Choir, conducted by Geoffrey Field, present their Christmas Concert, accompanied by Andy Plowman (organ) and AnnaKate Pearson (harp).
'A Season to Sing' is a choral re-imagining of Vivaldi's 'The Four Seasons', composed by Joanna Forbes L'Estrange. Co-commissioned by Kendal South Choir, this new work combines Vivaldi's well-loved melodies with texts from poetry and the Bible on the subject of the seasons. The second half of the concert celebrates Christmas with Benjamin Britten's 'A Ceremony of Carols', Percy Fletcher's 'Ring Out, Wild Bells', and our usual popular carols for audience participation.
Please come and join us for this enjoyable Christmas evening.
