Holy Cow, film screening

French film about a teenage would-be champion cheese-maker that was the surprise hit at Cannes Film Festival winning the Youth Prize for debut feature filmmaker Louise Courvoisier.
Set in her native Jura region, 18 year-old Totone's carefree life of drinking and partying comes to an abrupt end when he has to become the breadwinner, taking responsibility for his 7 year old sister and the struggling family farm. Attracted by the cash prize of 30,000 euros he enters the competition for the best Comté cheese in the region. How hard can it be to become a master cheese-maker?!
A warm-hearted, optimistic and often funny film with brilliant performances from a non-professional cast, including the cows, and a surprising insight into the labour and skill of Comté cheese making, all set in the sunny French countryside.
