Sheffield Skeptics in the Pub

Sheffield Skeptics in the Pub was founded in December 2009 and is a good way for people from all walks of life to hear from experts and discuss with them important issues that affect us all, while enjoying their favourite beverage. Meetings are held every third Monday of the month at Farm Road Sports & Social Club, Farm Road, Sheffield S2 2TP from 7.30 pm. There is no need to book and no entrance fee, but a voluntary donation of £3 is welcome to cover speaker's expenses and room hire. Parking is free.

The title of our November 2025 event is Not so Weird after all: An Alternative Take on the Science of Weird Stuff‘. Michael Daw will present scientific evidence that may support the reality of such phenomena as telepathy, precognition, and survival beyond bodily death. Michael is based at the University of Northampton. He holds a PhD in parapsychology, a master’s in computer science, and a postgraduate degree in mathematics.
