A Latin American Christmas
Sterndale Singers, directed by Robert Webb, present a Christmas concert with a Latin American theme. Ariel Ramirez's Navidad Nuestra sets the events of the Nativity, from the Annunciation to the Holy Family's flight, to music in the traditional style of Hispanic America. His Misa Criolla sets the Spanish liturgical text of the Mass to the rhythms and melodies of Argentina.
The programme also includes a selection of traditional Latin American villancicos appropriate to the season and English Christmas carols.
