A local care home is embracing the yuletide season by opening its doors for a special reminiscence event.
Care UK’s Cranford Grange, in Knutsford, is inviting people to revisit traditions from Christmas past by joining residents and team members for its festive event.
The event is part of Care UK’s “Step into Christmas” initiative, which aims to rekindle Christmas customs that residents remember from their childhood by reliving them and sharing them with the local community.
On Friday 12th December, from 3pm-5pm, Cranford Grange is hosting a magical 1970s-themed Christmas party. From Lonely This Christmas by Mud to I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday, by Wizzard, entertainer Kim Alvord will be filling the home with festive sounds as she performs classic Christmas songs.
Guests can also join in traditional party games and indulge in nostalgic 1970s-inspired food and drinks, such as eggnog and trifle - favourites from residents’ younger years.
