Meadowhall's Magical Winterland returns with brand-new Winter Spectacu
Get ready for a Christmas adventure like no other as Meadowhall's Magical Winterland returns with a brand-new Winter Spectacular show set to kickstart the festive season.
This year, Meadowhall's Orange Car Park has once again been transformed into a spectacular winter wonderland promising festive fun for all ages.
New to festivities this year, the Winter Spectacular by Circus Cortex transforms a grand big top into a world of frost and fantasy, with performances from breathtaking aerial acrobats, candy-cane juggling elves and playful clowns stirring up laughter, mischief and Christmas cheer.
Visitors to the Magical Winterland can meet Mr Claus himself in the 30-minute immersive Magical Grotto experience which offers a sneak peek inside the Elf Factory and the magic of the Winter Forest, as well as enjoying seasonal themed rides in the Winter Fairground including the Star Flyer and Vintage Swing Chairs.
Magical Winterland also offers the opportunity to browse a range of warming mulled wine, hot chocolates, and traditional tasty treats in the Christmas Village, whilst the Après Bar offers the perfect backdrop to relax and soak up the Christmas atmosphere with a hot or cold beverage in hand.
It comes as the centre recently announced a dazzling new giant light curtain show outside of the Oasis Dining Quarter. Made of up thousands of LED lights set to music, the sequence tells the story of Sparky, a star born from Santa’s workshop that goes on a heartwarming journey to spread festive joy throughout Sheffield, culminating in a spectacular arrival at Meadowhall.
The Magical Winterland is open until Sunday 4th January. Visitors are advised to check the website for further details and exact opening times.
Entry to the Magical Winterland is free, with selected attractions such as the Winter Spectacular and Santa’s Grotto available to book online, with children’s ticket prices starting from £10.95.
