If you are wanting to find a choir you'll find just what you were looking for with us in the Rock Choir.
The Sheffield Rock Choir is led by South Yorkshire based musician Ainjiel-Shaolee Clark. The local men and women who have joined the choir who live in Sheffield and further afield in South Yorkshire come from all walks of life and most had no singing experience or ever thought their singing journey would ever take them on TV or radio (not compulsory :-) ). Once you join the choir you will find you learn the songs by rote from a brilliant set of resources and you will be amazed how quickly you go from 'not sure' to 'performance ready'. The songs are uniquely arranged in a way that helped Rock Choir originally establish the simple high/middle and optional low voice approach to make songs easy to sing yet still challenge you in places.
Just like a gym session or aerobics class, your Rock Choir rehearsal provides an escape from everyday life. Once a week, your time is completely your own, to do nothing but sing your heart out with friends whilst enjoying our trailblazing formula of fun, friendship and feel-good music. Rock Choir is a winner of the Red Ribbon 'Big Heart' Award. and holds 1 former and 2 current Guinness World Records. The choir is also credited with single handedly starting the contemporary choir movement.
