National Spring Shire Show
The largest gathering of pedigree Shire horses in the world has a new format and a new location for 2026, join us for a day showcasing the best of the breed!
Founded in 1878, the Shire Horse Society works hard to protect the breed, that was then known as the Old English Breed of Cart Horse. It is the only charity dedicated to the protection, promotion and improvement of the Shire horse and is your ‘go to’ resource for all things related to the breed.

- In-hand classes for stallions, mares and geldings.
- National Championships.
- Grand Parade
- Access to stables, get up close and meet these gentle giants
- Trade stands
Available for an extra cost
- Guided Stable Tours
- VIP hospitality
Shire Horse Society members get free entry.
The show is easily accessible on hard ground and is indoors so will offer some protection against the weather.
Food and drink available to buy on the day.
Gates open 7.30am to 6pm.
Well behaved dogs on leads welcome.
