Portsmouth Choral Union warmly invites you to Come and Sing with us, a vibrant mixed-voice choir of over 100 singers and to experience the wonder of Haydn’s Nelson Mass.
More than anything, we hope you enjoy this opportunity to sing with a large choir, enjoy singing this famous choral work, enjoy the camaraderie of the group and of course enjoy being led by expert choral specialist David Gostick.
Family and friends are very welcome to come along and listen to what you have learnt. So, the afternoon ends with a sing through for your guests. Tickets available for £5.
Many consider the “Nelson Mass” to be among Haydn’s greatest compositions. It is particularly praised for its turbulent opening, and conclusion in a triumphant D major, reflecting a sense of victory over adversity.
