Shirley House Interfaith Centre

The January meeting of Shirley House Interfaith Centre is a 'Film Night', featuring episodes of the sitcom 'The Vicar of Dibley', which was aired on BBC1 from 1994 to 2000, with several later specials episodes, the last being on 23rd December 2020. In the series, Dawn French plays the role of a newly-installed leading vicar, at a time when women vicars were a controversial novelty. Episodes presented are ‘Arrival’, ‘The New Window’, ‘Animals in Church’ and/or ‘Christmas lunch’ . How realistic were they? As with all meetings of Shirley House Interfaith Centre, this is open to 'people of all faiths and none'. Refreshments are included.
