Jazz at Bradwell, Newcastle under Lyme
The North Staffs Accordion Club are hosting the Basin Street Jazz and Blues 4 piece Band Continuing our ‘January Jazz’ custom of the past we have, for the second-year running, the Basin Street Jazz and Blues, a group that went down so well with our members last year. During the interval, we will also be maintaining our other post-Christmas indulgence, namely the consumption of mince pies, Christmas cake and sherry! All this for the fiver admission!
The line-up comprises singer, Jules Scott, who has a lovely voice and stage presence, Brian Lightowler keyboard and accordion, Mike Dale, saxophone and flute, and Adrian Sherwood, double bass, all of them very experienced and top-class musicians. We’re in for another treat without the heavy, modern jazz that many of us can’t get our head around.
The musicians come from various parts of the North. Brian is the 'local' from Ruston Spender, Jules from Derby and Mike and Adrian from Greater Manchester. It should be a belter!
