Ulverston Town & Country Gardens - Open Garden for NGS
4 very different gardens. Birchwood Drive shows inspired use of a small corner plot: joyful front garden, pavement side garden with fruit, vegetables, flowers and grasses; a delightful secret garden, a place to sit in peace. Urswick Road has a large front garden and 200 ft level back garden divided into woodland, flower and vegetable/fruit sub-gardens. A plantsmans paradise. Beckside Bungalow is on 5 levels with perennial shrubs, climbers, annual flower borders and vegetable/fruit area. It rises up with growing views over the town and to the Pennines. Hamilton Grove is a ½ acre garden sloping down from a terrace with a wow-factor view of the garden, fields and distant Pennines.
