Barnsbury Group - Open Garden for NGS
Discover four contrasting spaces in Barnsburys Georgian squares. 57 Huntingdon Street is a secluded garden with birches, ferns, perennials, grasses, and container ponds that encourage wildlife. 2 Lonsdale Square is a charming, small cobblestoned garden with herbaceous beds and apple trees, structured with euonymus and yew hedges. Climbing roses and star jasmine add a delicious scent, while planters overflow with lavender and pansies. 5 Thornhill Grove is a secluded, brick-paved walled garden with perennials, various climbing and species roses, select shrubs, and shade planting. Barnsbury Wood is Londons smallest nature reserve, a hidden gem and one of Islingtons few sites of semi-mature woodland.
