Marton cum Grafton Gardens - Open Garden for NGS
Three gardens in two adjacent rural villages within walking distance of each other. In Marton, Paddock House is on an elevated site with extensive views and sloping lawn to a wildlife pond. The house is encircled by a profusion of pots combing cottage garden and Mediterranean styles. A terrace of Yorkshire stone and steps using gravel and wood sleepers leads to seating areas and cutting garden with small greenhouse. Orchard House is a contemporary village garden with an abundance of features inc gravel garden, raised beds and extensive views across an alpaca paddock and wildflower meadow. Well House in Grafton nestles under the hillside. A traditional English cottage garden with herbaceous borders, climbing roses and ornamental shrubs with a variety of interesting species.
