FAMILY HISTORY FAIR by The Suffolk Family History Society.

Includes Two FREE Talks. Also a large group of useful stalls and displays aimed at helping Family History Researcher's, while others reflect Suffolk's strong maritime connections, and the rest of the county's rich history.

if coming from afar - why not use The Ipswich Park and Ride Bus Service, which leaves the Martlesham and Copdock Park and Ride sites, and stops and picks up near the HOLD.
The HOLD is about a mile from Ipswich Station - just head for the Waterfront - The HOLD is opposite The Suffolk University Campus.

11:00 Simon Partridge: The Late, Great Fishing Industry of East Anglia - finding out more about this - how it affected Suffolk and the coastal communities. Perhaps your ancestors were involved in ship building and repair, or as fishermen.
12:00 Break (on site cafe or nearby cafes) giving you time to explore the Stalls.....
14:00 Cathy Shelbourne: Researching Your Maritime Ancestors: how Ipswich Maritime Trust can help.
There will also be a Free Family History Help Desk, to advise on ways to help you with your research problems (from 11:00-15:00)
