The Yarn Market Hotel in Dunster is delighted to welcome two outstanding young musicians, Harry and Teyla Burton, for a special recital on Sunday 1st March 2026 continuing the hotel’s much-loved series championing emerging talent.
Harry Burton, recently turned 18, is a highly accomplished double base player and pianist. He holds his LRSM Diploma in Double Bass, has submitted his LRSM Piano Diploma (results pending), and has been playing music since the age of seven. Harry has performed with several leading youth ensembles, including the West of England Youth Orchestra, South West Music School Orchestra, and the Marlborough College Symphony Orchestra. Alongside his sister, he has also performed duets at King’s College London, as well as at Chinese New Year celebrations in London and Bristol, and as part of a large-scale orchestral performance at Chigwell Mark Hall, playing to an audience of around 800 people. Away from music, Harry is also a keen golfer, currently playing off an impressive 0.4 handicap!
Teyla Burton, aged 13, is already establishing herself as a remarkable young cellist and singer. She began cello at the age of six and passed her Grade 8 Cello with Distinction at just 12 years old. She is currently preparing for her LRSM Diploma. Teyla also plays piano and is developing rapidly as a vocalist, having passed her Grade 8 Singing with Distinction late last year. Like her brother, she performed extensively through South West Music School, which both siblings joined around four years ago and where they particularly enjoy the residential courses held twice annually. When not practising, Teyla enjoys singing, dancing K-Pop routines, and proudly counts herself as a devoted Swiftie.
This promises to be a memorable afternoon of exceptional young talent, warm hospitality, and community spirit in the heart of Dunster.
