Foyer Folk: The Backwater Trio
From their roots in Stratford Upon Avon, Richard Elbourne (Wychwood), Crispin Brierley (Zeb Project) and Jon Bird (Daisy Chain Quartet) have teamed up together to play and perform their own original compositions. Encapsulating the innovative music from the ’60s, (Beatles, Stones, Kinks) and the folk rock of the ’70s, (Fairport Convention, Stealers Wheel, Trees) the Trio comprise two fine singer/songwriter guitarists and a stylish percussionist. Jon, Richard and Crispin create a strong rhythmic groove, with intermingling guitars, strong lyrics, and expressive, melodic vocals. This will be their first return to No.8 after a successful full house gig last year. A Must-See Band.
