The Lincolnshire Rising

The Lincolnshire Rising: began at Louth St James' Church on 1st October 1536.

Local Lincolnshire Historian Nicola Hallam completed an MSc research project on the Lincolnshire Rising 1536.

In this fascinating expert presentation, Nicola will list many of those who took part in the Rising, their professions and where they lived in the county. She'll also give a day-by-day record of events, detailing how and where it started, how it progressed, its conclusion, the outcome and fall out.

Nicola completed an MSc in Genealogical, Palaeographical and Heraldic Studies from the University of Strathclyde, for which she earned a distinction. She is a Member of The Register of Qualified Genealogists, and an Associate of the Association of Genealogists and Researchers in Archives. She has carried out research for BBC's: Who Do You Think You Are?, television programme.
She is also a published author of Lady Under Fire on the Western Front - an edited collection of letters written by Dorothie Feilding while driving ambulances in Belgium during the Great War. which was listed by Max Hastings as one of his five favourite war memoirs.
