Tapestry Weekend

Inspired by a local textile exhibition and the Bayeux Tapestry, the Museum's former Curator, Jane Vincent, had the idea create a tapestry charting Royston’s historical events. Started in 1993 and completed in October 2018, people from the local area and beyond gave their time, skills and support to create a unique piece of work which is now part of the Museum’s collection.
Drop in and explore this piece of local heritage, rich with stories and intricate craftmanship.
