Sheffield Skeptics in the Pub

Sheffield Skeptics in the Pub was founded in December 2009 and is a good way for people from all walks of life to hear from experts and discuss with them important issues that affect us all, while enjoying their favourite beverage. Meetings are held every third Monday of the month at Farm Road Sports & Social Club, Farm Road, Sheffield S2 2TP from 7.30 pm. There is no need to book and no entrance fee, but a voluntary donation of £3 is welcome to cover speaker's expenses and room hire. Parking is free if you type in your registration number on the tablet at the bar.

The March 2026 speaker, Jessica Bradley, will present a talk titled ‘Psychic Nights in Sheffield’. will talk about the growing popularity of 'Psychic Nights' in working class communities, with particular reference to Sheffield. This was the focus of a feature she wrote in December for The Tribune, Sheffield's online newspaper.

Jessica is a freelance journalist based in Yorkshire. She writes for publications including the BBC, Sheffield Tribune and Prospect. She currently specialises in family courts and violence against women and girls, but also likes to indulge in more offbeat topics - like psychic medium nights - for some light relief.
