We are hosting 'A Celebration of Seeds'! On Saturday 14th March from 10am - 4pm at Y Gaer and The Muse.
Brecon Library are working in partnership with Black Mountain College to develop a seed library. We hope to be able to develop a network where we grow, produce and share seeds locally. We are also keen to provide information and education about growing, seed saving and what to do with what you grow.
We want to connect seeds to stories and your stories about growing for example cucumber seeds smuggled from Syria or the local Brecon Black Runner Bean.
We have day full of activities, stalls, presentations and music from Fiddle Bop!
There will be presentations during the day including:
11.30 - 12.30 The Wales Seed Hub for an introduction to seed production and saving.
12.45 - 1.15 Local Author and Forager Adele Nozedar.
1.30 - 2.00 John Crellin - local author of The Brecknockshire Flora'

Activities include:
Getting Mucky - Designing the Brecon seed packet, plant a District Nurse Runner Bean, make a wildflower seed bomb, look at and delving in to the soil.
Growing Storytime for adults and children at times throughout the day.
FiddleBop will be playing live music across the two venues between 1 and 3 pm.
Soup will be available at The Muse and the Café is open for food and drinks in y Gaer.
