Raw Edge – An Exhibition by Students of Carmarthen School of Art

The Raw Edge Exhibition features ten second-year Fine Art and Multidisciplinary Art & Design undergraduates from Carmarthen School of Art. It marks their first public exhibition and the launch of their professional journeys as emerging artists.
Pursuing an art degree provides students with a unique opportunity to explore their creative potential whilst developing technical skills and critical thinking. Through a combination of practical studio work, theoretical studies, and collaborative projects, students learn to express their ideas, challenge conventions, and engage thoughtfully with contemporary issues. The experience also nurtures personal growth and resilience, preparing graduates for diverse careers in the creative industries and beyond.
The students involved in the exhibition come from a variety of backgrounds, bringing a rich array of perspectives and experiences to their work. This diversity further enhances the vibrancy and originality of the exhibition in a varied selection of styles and concepts in painting, printmaking, sculpture, and ceramics drawn from the students’ current portfolios.
