Bunbury Village Day 2026 presents… Wild Bunbury - Celebrating the wildlife, countryside and community of Cheshire
On Saturday 13 June, the village will come alive with Wild Bunbury – a celebration of the incredible wildlife, countryside and community spirit that make Cheshire such a special place to live.
Building on the much-loved traditions of Bunbury Village Day, this year’s event adds a fresh and exciting nature-inspired theme. Visitors can expect all the familiar highlights – the parade through the village, Rose Queen celebrations, an array of stalls, BBQ and Bar, live music, brass band, Morris dancers and family entertainment – alongside a host of wildlife experiences for all ages.
We’re delighted to welcome a growing number of fantastic organisations who will be bringing the “wild” to Bunbury:
Gauntlet Birds of Prey will deliver breathtaking flying displays
Cheshire Wildlife Trust will showcase their work protecting wildlife across the county, and how we can all play a part locally
The Creepy Crawly Show will introduce visitors to an amazing range of creatures including snakes, tarantulas, scorpions, lizards, giant African snails and even hissing cockroaches
Let’s Farm will share the inspiring work they do at their community farm supporting young people with learning disabilities
Mid-Cheshire Beekeepers Association will be offering insight into the fascinating world of beekeeping
Northwich Hedgehog Rescue will provide advice on how to support hedgehogs in our own gardens
We’re also proud to celebrate contributions from within our own village:
Bunbury Gardening Club will highlight local planting and wildlife-friendly gardening
Bunbury Mill, our beautiful Grade II listed watermill, will be sharing information about the rich wildlife that surrounds it
Sadlers Wells Community Woodland will be on hand to share how we can all enjoy and care for this ancient wood on the outskirts of our village
