The World of Gilbert and Sullivan
Angela Storey, a former local headmistress who died in July 2025, is to be remembered at a Gala concert on Saturday 20 June. 'The Wandering Minstrels' (www.wanderingminstrels.org.uk) will be at the Ballroom in the Stamford Arts Centre for 'THE WORLD OF GILBERT AND SULLIVAN'. Artistes include Alexandra Ferrari, Emma Stratton, Charles Mills, Stephen Godward and Tim Hurst-Brown, with Peter Hewitt at the piano. They will sing, act and dance their way through excerpts from 'The Pirates of Penzance', 'The Yeomen of the Guard', 'The Gondoliers', 'Ruddigore', 'Utopia, Limited', 'The Grand Duke', 'The Mikado' and 'HMS Pinafore'. The concert will be a tribute to Angela Storey, Headmsitress of Peterborough High School from 1977-1999, who died last year.
