A full day event to celebrate the life, work and interests of Catherine Wilson, OBE 1945-2026
The day will encompass memories of Catherine from her family’s perspective, recollections of her contribution to museums and the wider heritage movement, including from Chris Page (from the Lincolnshire standpoint) and Bridget Yates (who will speak about Catherine’s time in Norfolk).
Particular enthusiasms of Catherine will also be marked through talks, for example, on Lincolnshire farm buildings (by Shirley Brook), her work with the Dogdyke Pumping Station, and the Lincolnshire windmill drawings of Karl Wood (by Heather Hughes). Other aspects of the day will involve celebrating Catherine’s interests in natural history (shared with her husband Peter) – and her affection for teddy bears!
