Exit 6: Best of the Fest
Exit 6: Best of the Fest is a curated evening of short films that have been submitted to the Exit6 film festival recent years and shown in the “Judges 6” category, in contention for the Best Film Award. We just CANNOT wait to see them again.
Our ‘Best of the Fest’ includes some previous winners, some fan favourites and brilliant films that deserve to have their moment once again in the spotlight. Since last September the Exit 6 team have put together some fantastic themed film nights but this one includes a mix of genres and themes (e.g. spooky films, comedy, music), a Greatest Hits if you will, to give you a flavour of what can be achieved in the world of short film-making.

Accessibility: The venue is all based on the ground floor and so accessible for most wheelchairs. We have some limited disabled parking and an accessible toilet. Exit 6 Film Festival is a vibrant celebration of independent cinema set in the heart of Basingstoke. Every September, we curate an all-day diverse programme of short films from stunningly talented UK and international filmmakers, many of whom have gone on to stellar industry careers. Ahead of the 11th edition of Exit 6 at the Vue Basingstoke in September 2026, we’re hosting a series of themed showcase evenings featuring films from years gone by, so you can get a flavour of how amazing the Exit 6 Film Festival selection is every year, and we can enjoy watching them again.
