Art Exhibition - By Way of the Sea
ART EXHIBITION – BY WAY OF THE SEA - 3rd October - 11 October 2026

Four established Norfolk artists: Mary Blue, Jane Hodgson, Chris Kirby and Tricia Moss, whose work is inspired by their county's coastline, maritime heritage and coastal communities will come together this autumn for a major exhibition at St Nicholas Church, Salthouse.
The exhibition will bring together a collection of paintings that reflect the artists' shared fascination with Norfolk's enduring relationship with the sea. Although each artist approaches the subject in a distinctive way, their work is united by a deep connection to the coast and the people, landscapes and traditions that have shaped it.
Exhibition curator and participating artist Chris Kirby said: What makes this exhibition special is that each artist brings a different perspective to Norfolk's coastline and maritime heritage. Together, the works tell a broader story about our relationship with the sea - not only its beauty, but also the communities, livelihoods and traditions that have evolved around it over centuries. We are delighted to be exhibiting in Salthouse Church, a venue whose own history is so closely linked to the Norfolk coast.
