St John's Church, Burringham
Heritage Open Day: A striking Victorian church with beautiful stained glass. Built in 1856/7 by S S Teulon, this red brick church shows the architect at his most dramatic and original. The church, with its distinctive tower and polychromatic brickwork sits below the east bank of the River Trent.
The interior has lovely stained glass and heavenly painted constellations on the ceiling above the altar.
