Heritage Open Day: Too many to mention......but some people will be, like the person who established the church, those who built it and others who have simply attended it for generations ensuring it is still here today nearly 900 years after its doors were first open? St Chad's church in the centre of Stafford has a rich history due to both the care and sometimes neglect of the people who have come to worship there. But who were these people? Visiting the church you can find some of the answers. Some names, like the founder of the church are written in stone, others are only known by the skilled stone work they created.
