Military museum within Loughborough's War Memorial
Heritage Open Day: Loughborough Carillon and War Memorial Museum has undergone a complete makeover. The newly refurbished museum has the theme ‘The Human Cost’ and tells the stories of the men who lost their lives in the Great War and the widows left grieving. Volunteers will be on duty to explain the objects on display and the stories behind them, help identify any items on military memorabilia brought in, give advice on researching soldiers and help access Loughborough's Roll of Honour.
This event is part of Loughborough Heritage Weekend, where over a dozen local sites are opening their doors, with tours, activities, exhibitions and much more!
