The Kingsway: Cleethorpes' Fight with the Sea

Heritage Open Day: Our exhibition explores the creation in 1906 of the Kingsway area of Cleethorpes and the people who spent their working lives making it a place to attract visitors and residents alike. The erosion of the shore was the reason the Kingsway was built. There was a building boom inland from the Kingsway area of Cleethorpes at the beginning of the 20th century. The exhibition will look at those who contributed to the creation of this area and the various industries and workers involved.
