St Pauls Wordsworth Avenue

Heritage Open Day: The Church, a Grade II* Listed Building designed by Sir Basil Spence, will be open 1000-1500 with talks at 1100 & 1300 by Diana Philips about Beryl Dean, who did the embroidery for the Altar Frontal at St Paul's. Refreshments will be served throughout. St Paul's was opened in 1959, after the Church was established 10 years earlier, meeting in the Hall next door. Designed by Sir Basil Spence, who designed Coventry Cathedral at a similar time, it is a Grade II* listed building - and still a active Church community today.

Our Altar Frontal was made by Beryl Dean, one of the most prominent Church embroiders of her time.
