Heritage Open Day: Explore the countryside that inspired D.H Lawrence and highlights potential sites that look like places described in Lady Chatterley's Lover. Betjeman once described Teversal Village as a 'rural oasis' in the former 'coal producing area on the Notts - Derby border'. As part of our weekend celebrating the rich history of the area, we will be leading a guided walk around the local area, to explore its rich heritage and its literary links to the famed book Lady Chatterley's Lover.
This guided walk will take you through the countryside that inspired Lawrence.
