Ruth Heney (violin) accompanied by Anne de Villiers (piano) will play works by Bach, Brahms and Sibelius. Ruth began her musical studies age 4, and went on to learn with David Francis, before moving to Manchester to attend Chetham's School of Music, where she studied under Ben Holland and Connie del Vecchio. Ruth moved to Norway in 2013, where she is now in her final year of studying for her Bachelor degree at the Barratt Due Institute, with Stephan Barratt Due. While in Norway, Ruth has been a part of various orchestras, including Oslo Camerata, with whom she has toured around Norway, Denmark and Brazil, and the Artic Circle Philharmonic. Ruth last performed in an Emmanuel Lunchtime Concert in 2015 as a member of the Virentia Quartet.
The concert starts at 12.45 but soup & roll lunch is served from 12.00. Admission is free but donations are appreciated.
