York's Annual Community Carol Concert

It’s Christmas time . . . and what better way to start your festive family celebrations by joining us at York Barbican for an entertaining afternoon listening to local school choirs, a top-class brass band and singing your favourite Christmas carols and songs.

Entertaining us this year will be York RI Golden Rail Band, Huntington School Big Sing Choir, Copmanthorpe Primary School Choir and soloist, Alexandra Mather.

Carol Concert regular, Steve Cassidy will once again perform alongside the ensemble. Musical Director Mike Pratt will lead the community carols and the event will be hosted by Rev Andrew Foster and Adam Tomlinson.

Now in its 68th year, the concert offers a traditional start to Christmas and we can’t wait to welcome you back to support The Lord Mayor and Sheriff of York’s Christmas Cheer Fund and The Press nominated charity, Age UK York.

Don your Christmas jumpers, and come along and join in the fun at “Carols at York Barbican”.
