Chester Town Hall
Heritage Open Day: This imposing Victorian Gothic civil building dominates Chester's main square. Built between 1865-69 (architect: WH Lynn), the Town Hall was originally opened by the Prince of Wales and the Prime Minister, W E Gladstone. It was inspired by the medieval cloth hall at Ypres, Belgium. Now run by Chester Racecourse Company as offices & conference facilities.
