Learn about the traditional craft of basket weaving and create a square-based willow trug to take home. You'll begin by learning to make a base, connect the base with the sides, weave in a variety of different patterns, turn down a border in a decorative way and add a handle. You'll be able to take your handmade trug home - versatile and strong, these baskets can be used in multiple ways around the home and garden. No experience is required. This is a great course for beginners and experienced weavers alike. Your tutor for this course is Suzy Williams of The Coppice Co. In 2018 Suzy won a place on the National Coppicing Apprenticeship Scheme, during which she learned vital skills and knowledge from seasoned coppice workers.
