The Pier, Promenade, Cromer NR27 9HE Heritage Open Day: Celebrate Cromer Pier’s heritage with live music from the Cromer & Sheringham Brass Band (1–3pm) and a special short documentary in the Pavilion Theatre (10am–3pm), created for Heritage Open Days and narrated by Norfolk’s own Olly Day. Cromer Pier is a stunning 151-metre-long Victorian landmark. While a pier or jetty has existed in Cromer since as early as 1391, the structure we see today officially opened in June 1901, complete with a bandstand at its head. This was later expanded into a pavilion in 1905. Fast forward to 2024, Cromer Pier earned the prestigious title of Pier of the Year from the National Piers Society.
