Castle Hill, Guildford GU13SX Heritage Open Day: Guildford Jazz presents a double bill of two of the best local big bands , Junction 4 and Rhythm and Groove as part of the Guildford Jazz and Soul Festival. Junction 4 and Rhythm and Groove Big Band are 18-piece Big Bands. They have a wide repertoire of big band music, from the swing of Benny Goodman to the modern arrangements of Gordon Goodwin, with some Buddy Rich thrown-in for those who like high energy tunes. In short, from foxtrot to funk. Guildford Jazz and Soul Festival runs from late August to early October and features the best in national and local jazz in a variety of different venues across Guildford .
