Designs by William Morris, Ford Madox Brown, Dante Gabriel Rossette and Edward Burne-Jones. An outstanding opportunity to view 'Marple's hidden gem'. St Martin's Church, Marple, was built in 1870 at the time of the Arts and Crafts movement and the Pre-Raphaelite Artists, shown in the design, construction and furnishings. With examples of stained glass designed by William Morris, Ford Maddox Brown and Edward Burne Jones. The main building is designed by John Dando Sedding with other works by Henry Wilson.
