This exhibition leads you through the centuries from before the Saxons to the present day. Who says Milton Keynes has no history? Westbury was already ancient when the Normans passed through in 1066 and gave the manor house here to a Norman knight – called Engaine, after which one of the main roads in Shenley Church End is named.
