Doors and the bar open at 7pm, with the concert starting at 7:30pm St John the Evangelist Church, Mill Street, Derby DE1 3HZ We finish our season with Ludwig van Beethoven's powerful and moving, Missa Solemnis. Beethoven is one of the best known, and most revered, composers of classical music. We would like to show you why! In the first half of tonight's concert, we will sing Beethoven's setting of Goethe's Calm Sea and Properous Voyage, which tells the story of sailors' trepidation at the still waters around them, but their ultimately successful journey.
